Throwie font

I started on this personal project to develop a cool looking graffiti throw up letters font for my own use. I didn't really like the existing graffiti fonts as they lacked style and resembled basic bubble letters. Initially, I created this font for my personal graphics, but to my surprise, I received an overwhelming response from clients who requested words, names, and business names for their use. The experience was incredibly nostalgic as it took me back to my high school days when I used to doodle in my notebook, and my classmates would often approach me and request that I draw their names in graffiti style. It was a fantastic outcome.

TOOLS

Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, Font Forge

I began by sketching out each letter in Procreate and ensuring that they were consistent with each other. The challenging part was ensuring that the overall composition flowed seamlessly when the letters were combined into words.
